Sangamon Solar began providing Approved Vendor services to our customers in 2022, then began helping Stranded Customers get paid for their RECs. We later expanded to providing this service to customers of other solar companies (Designee/Installers).  We quickly identified an issue within the market: time-consuming forms and processing delays were causing customers to receive their REC payments up to 12-18 months after interconnection. Our simple process and commitment to customer service allow us to cut this processing time down to 8 months on average. We only require a few documents and clear communication; then we take care of the rest. Our Approved Vendor contract includes 15 years of system monitoring, uploading production data, and reporting to the utility. Our "Commitment to Operation" allows us to avoid collateral draw-downs and underproduction fees. Our status as an Equity-Eligible Contractor also gives us access to a separate block of funding and the ability to apply for an Advance of Capital for qualifying projects.
